Synopsis
Using puppetry, clowing, and media, award-winning creator and performer T. Anthony Marotta weaves a light-hearted story about Hue, a modern Pinocchio who must MANeuver through gender roles learned and lived to uncover his huMAN potential. A “cutting, Chaplin-esque satire,” this performance has delighted Fringe audiences across the globe and features 12 puppets, a blue-nosed clown, masks, mime, shadow-play, media, a hungry caterpillar, and a puppet circumcision to start a conversation about being and raising good men. This play was recently selected for publication in Applause Books’ The Best Plays from American Theater Festivals, 2015.
