Synopsis
The Voices Made Me Do It, Grissom’s first full-length solo show, is a personal narrative about surviving the ups and downs and unusual turns in life. After his happy childhood is turned upside down, Malcolm Grissom, with the help of some unusual voices, finds inspiration and identity in his struggle to return to “normal.” The Voices Made Me Do It is part of the story that was awarded both Producer’s and Critics’ Choice Awards in the Atlanta Fringe Festival. It was hailed as “one of the best shows” in the Kansas City Fringe Festival. And Grissom has been called a “risk taker” who gives “a hometown tale worthy of Garrison Keillor – with Bobcat Goldthwaite intensity.” You’ll laugh and cry, and may even leave the theater with hope.
