Synopsis

 

Jitterbugging raccoons, krumping squirrels, and African-dancing roosters lead an amnesia-stricken waitress through City Park in search of her true identity. “City Park” shifts dance styles with each scene, mixing dark comedy, slapstick, and nostalgia in this energetic production set to Quintron and Miss Pussycat recordings, designed for the ADD generation. The multimedia show features a short film with Ellar Coltrane, star of the Academy Award-nominated film “Boyhood”. Offbeat Magazine voted “City Park” one of the top five not-to-be-missed shows—out of over 250—of the New Orleans Fringe Fest. City Park marks the New Orleans-based dance troupe’s debut in Atlanta.
