  1. Why should people see your show?

Whether you’re on the dating scene or just living vicariously through others who are dating, you’ll hear some unbelievable, funny-a$$ dating stories.

  1. What about festivals intrigues you? Any why the Atlanta Fringe?

The diversity in the people and the diversity in the shows. I’m able to experience the full spectrum from classic, experimental, to just plain weird.

  1. What inspired you to create this?

I was married about 14 years before I got divorced. When I started dating, it was like learning a new language. I’ve had some unbelievable experiences-good and bad. If nothing else, it’s certainly been entertaining. And sharing is caring!

  1. This year ain’t normal and there’s no sense pretending it is. How has Covid affected what you’re doing for this festival?

I wish I had more time to share all of the stories I have as it relates to dating. COVID has impacted everything. It’s impacted the way we date and how often. It has also affected casting for shows. Actors have to be comfortable being in the space of actors and possible working on material in isolation.

Honestly, as of this writing, that hasn’t been determined yet. I’d like to incorporate more media in this production and possible even an actual dating app. Some of these items are not necessary for the success of the show.

  1. What have you learned from working on your show so far?

It’s good idea to NOT isolate yourself in a bubble. Share your concepts with a trusted circle to continue build the piece thoroughly.

  1. There’s a mysterious stranger in the back row of your show, wearing a big ol’ N95 mask and a baseball cap and there’s something weirdly familiar about them, and then they come up afterwards to tell you they loved your show. In your WILDEST DREAMS, who is this mysterious stranger? (Bonus points if your mysterious stranger is an Atlanta celeb.)

It’s Andre 3000 from OutKast.

  1. Fringes are the place to really push the boundaries so we gotta ask: are you inviting your family to this show are “Hey, maybe sit this one out you guys…”

I’m definitely inviting them. No small kids though. Lol.

  1. We’ve asked this question every year for the past ten years or so but it hits different this year: Will your show change the world?

Hmmm…maybe? If anything maybe enhance the change that is already taking place.SL

  1. Zoom meetings: dress up head to toe or Donald Duck it?

Donald Duck it.

  1. We’re making an excellent Fringey Feelings playlist. Describe your show in two or three songs we can add to keep the jams flowing.
