1. Why should people see your show?
People should see Augustus Graves: MAGICIAN because it’s not your typical magic show. I’m not here to pull rabbits out of hats—I’m here to challenge how you see the world. This show is personal, psychological, and thought-provoking. It blends mind-reading, illusion, and storytelling to reveal things about you that you may not expect. If you’ve ever wanted to feel like magic could be real—even just for an hour—this is your chance. I promise you’ll leave questioning what’s real, what’s possible, and maybe even what’s hidden inside yourself.
2. What about festivals intrigues you? And why the Atlanta Fringe?
What intrigues me about fringe festivals is the energy and openness they bring. It’s a space where creativity thrives and where audiences come ready to be surprised. I love that it’s a chance to meet new people and share an experience they may not have otherwise sought out. There’s something special about connecting with strangers through mystery and wonder, especially in an intimate setting. Fringe audiences are curious, adventurous, and willing to engage—and that makes performing at these festivals incredibly rewarding.
3. What inspired you to create this?
What inspired me to create Augustus Graves: MAGICIAN was a desire to do something more meaningful with magic—something deeper than just tricks and spectacle. After performing for years and stepping away during COVID, I traveled to explore how different cultures view magic. I saw that magic can be a tool for connection, storytelling, and even healing. That shifted my perspective. I wanted to create a show that reflects those discoveries—intimate, thought-provoking, and full of wonder, all while ensuring the audience has a fun time and experiences something truly unforgettable.
