1. Why should people see your show?
I want to show people what it is like to live with cancer and to laugh with cancer. I want to share how I try to outsmart my cancer with skills I picked up growing up in Florida. I want people to see that they can still remain an optimistic, go-getter even when faced with difficult situation and challenges. Most of all I want people to laugh and feel inspired.
2. What about festivals intrigues you? And why the Atlanta Fringe?
The Atlanta Fringe is well known as showcasing talent. They have built a huge audience that wants to be entertained an inspired. I still view Atlanta as my second home since I lived there from 1997-2014. I started my comedy career in Atlanta and can't wait to bring my solo show I Blame Florida. I am also looking forward to seeing as many other shows while I am at the festival. I love to be inspired and entertained by amazing performers. I know there will be so much talent at the Atlanta Fringe Festival
3. What inspired you to create this?
I have been a stand-up comedian and storyteller for 12 years. After getting diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer, it only seemed natural to focus my comedy chops and storytelling skills on this journey. I want to challenge misconceptions about what it is like to live with stage 4 cancer. I want everyone to realize no matter what obstacles or challenges they are facing that they do not lose their identity, dreams and optimism.
