ill.

Rebecca Wilson

Atlanta, GA

ill. is experienced, written and performed by Rebecca Wilson. Wilson's debut one-person, multi-tonal show combines her unparalleled wit, burdensome intellect & all consuming empathy to tell the tales of caregiving for her mother (currently battling Ovarian cancer for the third time since 2019), family dynamics of living at home as an adult, her issues with mental health & addiction, and finding her happiness again through a stint at a Boston psych ward, a GA rehab & finally learning to let things go and find lasting peace, presence & purpose.

The Buzz Intro Interview

Rebecca Wilson

1. Why should people see your show?

I use my comedic & observation lens to share lessons that you may have never learned but should learn & you'll learn them through me. There are also people I have met along my journey that you will never meet but should & you will meet them through me.

2. What about festivals intrigues you? And why the Atlanta Fringe?

I'm a Northside Hospital baby. Atlanta is home. I am excited to debut my one-person show in my hometown.

3. What inspired you to create this?

My life caregiving for my mother, my struggles with mental illness & addiction, and the lessons & people I've met along the way inspired my multi-tonal, one-person show.
