Noah’s No-Show Show

Noah Max Levine

Philadelphia, PA

It's opening night of a brand new play. With the cast and crew missing, can one actor perform every role and bring the performance to life?

Well, Noah is going to try! No props, no costumes, no help when things get weird. Just one performer who won't quit until curtain call. Each performance, Noah will turn an audience-suggested title into a spontaneous work of theatre.

Fringies Week 1 Front-Runner (audience award) at the 2024 Philadelphia Fringe Festival. Audiences say: "Very quick witted", "made up fun", "a true delight". Noah says: "Where'd the rest of the cast go?"

The Buzz Intro Interview

Noah Max Levine, creator/performer

1. Why should people see your show?

You will have a great time! This is a show that breaks the fourth wall and talks directly to the audience, but you are not asked to speak up and participate. Every night is completely different and improvised from scratch. I know I will perform something that will surprise and delight everyone in the room, but I have no idea what that will be!

2. What about festivals intrigues you? And why the Atlanta Fringe?

At a festival, a community of artists and audiences come together to create a special moment. In some ways, I love lowering the stakes with an experimental, short show for a Fringe festival. Let's take risks as performers and as an audience. As for the Atlanta Fringe, I grew up in East Cobb and so performing in the festival means coming home! Since I’ve lived in Philly since 2010, this will be my first opportunity to perform in the Atlanta area as an adult! Greater Atlanta was an incredible place to grow up and get into the arts. I'm hoping to see some familiar faces in the audience and to get a chance to explore the arts scene (especially this festival!) that has continued to grow and develop over the past fifteen years!

3. What inspired you to create this?

I love theatre, and I love improv that plays with theatrical ideas and conventions. Noah's No-Show Show is a playground for me to let loose after years of theatre study, practice, and enthusiasm. I wanted to make an improv show for theatre audiences, and a theatre show for improv audiences.
