The Buzz Intro Interview

Preethi Sundararaman and Nikki Radford

1. Why should people see your show?

Our show is for anyone who can relate to adulthood not going according to plan, who has been irreversibly shaped by the 90s, or who just wants to laugh. People will connect with stories they see themselves in, feel a little less alone, and maybe even see the world in a new, hilarious way. We want the audience to feel like they’re laughing with two friends who tell it like it is: funny, raw, and relatable.

2. What about festivals intrigues you? And why the Atlanta Fringe?

Festivals are exciting because they bring together audiences who are open to new experiences, and artists who are dedicated to their craft and community. The Atlanta Fringe is particularly exciting because it celebrates the diversity of artists and experimental work in our weird, wonderful city. We're thrilled to connect with new people outside our bubble who are looking for something fresh, funny, and a little unexpected.

3. What inspired you to create this?

We believe strongly in the power of comedy to bring people together and bring people hope. We've been so lucky to be inspired by friends and mentors in the Atlanta comedy community, many of whom participated in Atlanta Fringe in previous years. We enjoy making comedy together and have previously collaborated on improv, sketch, and screenwriting. This show is an opportunity to grow as stand-up comedians and performers, share the material we’ve worked on over the years, and prove to ourselves among others that women like us are funny AF!!!
