1. Why should people see your show?
Do you remember how you felt when you first heard ghost stories around a campfire or at a sleepover with your friends? Like there were things in the world you never knew existed before, and they might be looking over your shoulder? My show takes you there.
Live storytelling is exactly what it sounds like but so much cooler than you think. It draws you in, makes you feel, and sends you out the door changed.
2. What about festivals intrigues you? And why the Atlanta Fringe?
The variety of shows at fringe festivals intrigues me. Where else can you see everything from juggling to burlesque to ghost stories? The Atlanta Fringe has a great spirit to it. It's exuberant and celebratory. I love that!
3. What inspired you to create this?
I love ghost stories! They not only provide chills and thrills but also give us a safe space in which to experience the full range of human emotions. Plus, Appalachia (where I live) is rich in ghostly tales. As I was developing the show, I learned a lot about where these stories came from and why they have continued to be shared. So, in addition to telling some deliciously creepy stories, I'll be sharing the stories behind them.
