The Spaghetti Variable

Most Unwanted / Mitchell Ashe + Gus Mahoney

New York

Eating your favorite food as hot and as fast as possible increases its savoriness, and thus increases its potential for an emotional energy release. Or so the theory goes.

The Spaghetti Variable is a hilarious and heartfelt solo clown show that dives fork-first into the messy intersections of memory, impulse, and pasta. As a scientist attempts to prove their theory, the experiment unravels into something far more personal—twisting logic, time, and noodles into a delightfully absurd journey.

Because sometimes, the only way to test a theory... is to take a big, steaming bite.

The Buzz Intro Interview

Mitchell Ashe

1. Why should people see your show?

They should see my show because they want to. If you think it sounds interesting, I think
you might like it. It's a good show, I like it, at least.

2. What about festivals intrigues you? And why the Atlanta Fringe?

I love the idea of connecting with vastly different communities with unique scenes.
Specifically with Atlanta Fringe, because I'm from Virginia, I’ve been itching to connect with
the southern comedy scene.

3. What inspired you to create this?

I wrote this show after losing two of my friends within a year of each other. I found myself
with only half of my life's story, the other half, lost in their untimely passing. This show is
dedicated to them, and for those that must now live only in our memories.
